Stepping up for Charity

Walk, Jog, Run for CF - Harewood House

At Pryor, supporting good causes has always been part of who we are. As a charitable trust, we don’t just manufacture world-class marking and traceability solutions, we also take pride in giving back to the communities and charities that matter to our people. This summer, several members of the Pryor team are proving that every step counts by taking on walking challenges to raise money for causes close to their hearts.

Walking for Cystic Fibrosis

This October, Josh and his partner Louise, alongside Carrie and Katie, are tackling the 10k Walk, Jog, Run for Cystic Fibrosis. The event is all about helping everyone with cystic fibrosis live a life unlimited, while funding vital research and support services.

The event at Harewood House to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Funds raised will go towards vital research, helping move closer to effective treatments for everyone with CF.

The Trust’s work makes a real difference and last year alone they supported over 3,600 people with advice on housing, travel, benefits, employment and more, especially during the cost-of-living crisis. With your support, Team CF can help ensure that everyone living with cystic fibrosis has the chance to live a brighter, unlimited life.

Their efforts can be supported here: JustGiving page, and more information about the challenge is available at Walk, Jog, Run for CF.

A Family Effort

Simon and Graham have signed up for the 5k version of the same challenge, this time bringing their families along for the journey. It’s a wonderful way to raise awareness while enjoying time outdoors together.

One Million Steps for Diabetes UK

Meanwhile, Steve is putting his best foot forward, taking on the One Million One Million Step Challenge Step Challenge for Diabetes UK. Over the course of the summer, he’ll be walking nearly 11,000 steps every single day for three months, that’s close to five miles daily, adding up to over a million steps in total.

Diabetes UK is the leading UK charity with a clear vision: “a world where diabetes can do no harm.” They fulfil this mission by campaigning for improved care, providing support when it’s needed most, and funding vital research into better treatments—and ultimately, a cure.

You can support his challenge through his JustGiving page. More details about the event itself can be found at Diabetes UK’s One Million Step Challenge.

We’re proud that our colleagues live out Pryor’s values both inside and outside the workplace. As a charitable trust, we believe in supporting not only innovation and industry, but also people and progress. Whether it’s 5k with family, 10k for research, or a million steps for change, every effort helps move us all closer to a healthier future.

Good luck to Josh, Louise, Carrie, Katie, Simon, Graham and Steve.  The whole Pryor family is behind you, every step of the way.
