Following the opening of a business centre in Bratislava in 2014, the British Chamber of Commerce opened an office in Košice on Tuesday 13th October 2015 that will operate in Eastern Slovakia. The event took place at Hotel Yasmin and was attended by an audience of over 100 Košice-based businesses. It was a key day in the history of our chamber and bilateral relations between Britain and Slovakia.
Pryor Marking Technology were invited as guests of the Chamber to represent UK business and Nick Patrick from the South Yorkshire International Trade Centre provided a detailed presentation about the renowned city of Sheffield.
Chris Plant, Chief Executive of the British Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia, stated that there is massive interest in Slovakia from UK companies following Jaguar Land Rover’s announcement that it has chosen to consider Slovakia for their upcoming manufacturing facility. Plant stated that the British Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia has now assisted nearly 500 companies since 2014.
