The Marktronic™ 2068 operates a ‘traffic light’ system whereby a green light verifies that the quality of the mark is within the specification; amber indicates that there is some variation but the mark is still within the given parameters; and red alerts the operator that the unique marks are no longer acceptable. At the same time the system will also make suggestions and recommendations of the remedial action to be taken to ensure that the marks return to the required standard.
Absolute Vision Ltd, another company in the Edward Pryor Group, will be sharing the stand and exhibiting the DataMouse™ Pro, a hand-held reader that can be used by manufacturers to check marked parts further along the production line. It combines the benefit of totally controllable lighting with a complete exclusion of ambient light effects to deliver exceptional reading performance. Incorporated in the reader is its robust Medusa™ code-reading software, which can transfer data automatically to any third party software application and provides scope for customising the data string format. It also allows remote control of the unit via Windows, TCP/IP or RS232 communications and the transmission of data to PLCs and other process control systems.
