UK marking specialist, Edward Pryor, has won a lucrative order
for purpose-made punches featuring the Russian Cyrillic alphabet.
The order for a large quantity of sets of the 30 character alphabet
has come from Moscow-based agent, Unisell, and is the first of its
kind for Pryor.

Many Russian-based companies continue to use hammer-struck
character punches for component marking, favouring this method's
simplicity, reliability and low unit cost, despite the growing
popularity of Pryor's more sophisticated type range. Pryor's
recent sales success reflects this preference while illustrating
the company's continuing ability to supply purpose-made marking
punches of a higher quality than those available locally.
An extensive knowledge of export procedures proved equally
advantageous to the Sheffield-based company, for whom overseas
markets continue to provide approximately 50% of overall business.

Pryor's cold-formed punches represent a high performance yet cost-efficient
alternative to carbide punches and have won widespread approval
for offering an unrivalled combination of versatility, character
definition and longevity. A wide range of options includes reverse
character punches for use in mould marking applications, together
with dot and mini-stress punches for delicate applications in industries
such as aerospace, oil and nuclear power.
Edward Pryor's Marketing Manager, Jayne Mezulis, explained "This
unusual export order reflects Pryor's world-wide reputation for
producing the finest marking punches available, coupled with an
ability to satisfy the specific requirements of every conceivable
application, irrespective of the customer's budget, location and
chosen marking method".
