Screwdriver Blade Laser Marking

Stanley Tools asked Pryor to design a flexible marking system for their leading range of DynaGrip Pro screwdrivers.

The system marks an inscription of up to 20 characters - which depicts the product number, tip size and length of the screwdriver bar. Laser marking was chosen to meet Stanley Tools’ requirement for permanent legibility and a clean professional look throughout the working life of the screwdriver.

The DynaGrip Pro screwdriver range is represented by 45 different screwdrivers up to 305mm in overall length (varying in diameter from 3.5 to 9.5mm). Unique fixturing and easy to use software allow screwdriver from the range to be marked quickly and easily in excess of 1000 parts per hour.

High Output Coin Press

PRYOR has been deeply involved in the key and lock industry for almost 40 years. One of our custom designed machines, used successfully throughout industry, is the Pryormark 60 Key Coining Press.

The latest model has a maximum coining capacity of 100 tons, suitable for coining both sides of brass or steel keys with characters simultaneously, and raised beading around the key bow and hole.

Outputs of over 4,500 keys per hour are achieved compared to the original models of 3,500 per hour (some of which are still working after over 30 years of production life on a two shift cycle).

Gold Ingots

Pryor marking products are used to mark almost everything from jewellery to nuclear fuel rods, but this press was designed to mark a rather unique product - bars of solid gold.

Specially designed fixturing and a customised pneumatic roll marking press allow the gold bars or ingots to be marked on two sides.

Unfortunately development and testing had to be carried out with a substitute metal and not the final product!

General Steel Castings
A special marking machine designed for marking a wide range of steel castings of all shapes and sizes. The machine was designed with a "C" frame with additional daylight to accept components. The characters can be altered at random via a controller with LCD screen, characters being marked either in a straight line or arc format.
